Why These Prompts?
Chess: This is a reference to DiaLuci's First Meeting (Lucifer's Glory Days UR Card)
Private Beach Trip: This is a reference to this picture that Diavolo took of Lucifer where he wasn't covered from head-to-toe like he usually is around everyone else, something only Diavolo happened to have.
Unconventional Affection: This is a reference to my personal analysis that there are things they do and say to each other that wouldn't be immediately obvious to spectators, but would be considered by them as affection based on their personalities and proclivities.
Demonus & Bravery: This is a reference to their favourite drink, something akin to alcohol that Diavolo gets for Lucifer often, one of Lucifer's favourite beverages, and what they often meet up to imbibe. Look to NB55-A for the Vibes.
Free Day: This is can be anything for DiaLuci, in case people were unable to make something for the prompts.

Turtleybeachin on Tumblr for Crochet DiaLuci Chickens (Unconventional Affection)!When I saw this, I had no choice but to immediately pick my grand prize winner. Seeing someone whimsically capture the concept of Unconventional in "Unconventional Affection" was perfect. It was also a pleasure to read them elaborating on their craft and inspirations too, especially for me as someone who has tried his hand at these kinds of textile crafts and failed. Here I learned that you can never be prepared to be surprised. These chickens now hang comfortably from their perch in my DiaLuci shrine (thank you for sending them to me after the event)!

_{Since Diavolo is too tired to argue, he simply tightens his grip on Lucifer’s arm in a gesture that hopefully conveys the pleasedon’tleave in his mind. He barely has the time to celebrate the warmth not receding before there is a weight on his lap and chest, and he has to take a few moments to realise that Lucifer is straddling him.}

Last but not least, an especially Honorable mention to this DiaLuci epistolary fiction expressed through the medium of a "visual novel" with multiple illustrations, spanning almost 13 minutes (the exact number of smiles Diavolo counted from Lucifer's lips during their match). I wish I had two Grand Prizes. Here is a selective slideshow for "Chess" by Ksouth46861960 (best viewed on a computer)✨10Yuki's Summary: Diavolo writes Lucifer a letter recounting a specific chess match that they had from just before Lucifer fell. Diavolo was surprised to see him in the human world and notices how free they both are from their usual duties. Angel Lucifer asked him about love and Diavolo answered despite finding it odd, from the future recounting his own feelings from when he was younger. Diavolo, sensing his companion's unease, conjures a black king and invites Lucifer for a chess match. Lucifer conjures a white king and they play and end up tieing; just like that Lucifer makes to leave. Diavolo acknowledges that this was likely when Lucifer made up his mind to defend Lilith. He culminates the memory by ruminating about their lives now, and asks Lucifer if he remembers where that white king went. With that, the letter is sent and we get a CG of Diavolo in his black bathrobe kissing the white king piece.

Sending Out Prizes

Last minute event meant last minute prize pool so things were sparse this year.
Grand Prize was the Bunny Set and custom art from Yuki.
Other than the grand prize, all prizes were awarded in no particular order, first come first served.
The DiaLuci Week postcard is available to all participants to print out themselves or ask me to mail one.

Closing Remarks

Thank you everyone for making this event so successful despite it being established extremely last-minute. This is the first time I've organized something like this and it was amazing to see everyone's efforts in real time. We saw 29 works in 12 days and I spent hundreds of dollars in merch in shipping! I'm touched to be a part of such a wonderful community. For me, this was part celebration, part self-indulgence and all meaningful. I'm truly thankful and I hope to see many of you next year!Yuki the DiaLuci Guy
